Practice cursive Y and y
Visual prompt: 𝒴 / 𝓎. Use the handwriting model you are learning if its shape differs.
Use Y inside short words
Write each word slowly, then repeat it on the blank line.
Letter-specific note
Lowercase y often begins like u and then extends into a descender below the baseline. Capital Y is much more variable and may use broad loops or flourishes.
Readability: A clear descending tail distinguishes y from u, while the upper body and tail direction help separate it from g.
Joining: Keep the u-like upper section clear before sending the tail downward. The way the descender returns or exits depends on the handwriting system.
