Practice cursive I and i
Visual prompt: ℐ / 𝒾. Use the handwriting model you are learning if its shape differs.
Use I inside short words
Write each word slowly, then repeat it on the blank line.
Letter-specific note
Lowercase i is typically a short body with a dot. Capital I is unusually variable and can look very different across school cursive, signatures and calligraphy.
Readability: Without the dot, lowercase i can be confused with a short vertical stroke or part of u/m/n in fast handwriting.
Joining: The lowercase i body can connect forward like other short letters; the dot is a separate mark and should not be confused with the joining stroke.
For the full digital mapping and copy controls, see I in cursive.
