TikTok Fonts
TikTok officially separates the @username from the nickname shown across the app. Current TikTok Help says usernames use letters, numbers, underscores and periods (with no period at the end) and can change once every 30 days; nicknames can be up to 30 characters and can change once every seven days.
Choose the right TikTok field first
Start with the field, not the font preview. Username (@handle) is restricted or not a styling surface in the current guide; decorative Unicode should be tested only in separate visible-text fields that allow it.
The full field table below covers the remaining TikTok surfaces. The same registry powers both sections so limits and restrictions stay consistent.
Unicode previews for eligible TikTok text fields
These previews are styling options, not proof that a restricted username, handle, account identifier or policy-controlled name accepts decorative Unicode. Use the field guidance above first, then test only the visible text surfaces that fit your task.

Current platform rules
Last checked September 22, 2026. TikTok currently separates the @username from the nickname: usernames use letters, numbers, underscores and periods with no period at the end and can change once every 30 days; nicknames can be up to 30 characters and can change once every seven days.

Stylish Font Generator is not affiliated with this platform. A field accepting Unicode text is not the same as the platform offering a custom-font feature. Recheck important fields in the current app before publishing because limits and validation rules can change.
Field-by-field compatibility on TikTok
| Field | Current limit / guidance | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Username (@handle) | Letters, numbers, underscores and periods; no ending period | Restricted identifier; can be changed once every 30 days |
| Nickname (Name) | Up to 30 characters | Separate public-facing name; can be changed once every 7 days |
| Bio | Verify in current profile editor | Profile text field — current source set here does not publish a stable bio limit |
| Captions | Verify in current composer | Content text field — use decorative Unicode sparingly |
| Comments | Verify in current composer | User text field — save and verify rendering |
A platform accepting Unicode in a text field does not mean it officially supports custom fonts. Limits, validation and glyph rendering can change by app version, account type, language and device.
How to use stylish text on TikTok
Start with the exact name, title or line you want to use. Short tests make compatibility problems easier to spot.
Prefer a restrained Unicode alphabet or frame for identity/search fields. Decorative effects are better for optional accents.
Open TikTok, paste into the intended field, save it, then check the result on another screen or device before relying on it.
TikTok tips
- Start with the @username as a plain identifier: current TikTok Help limits it to letters, numbers, underscores and periods, with no period at the end.
- Use the separate nickname for visible identity styling. TikTok currently allows up to 30 characters there and limits nickname changes to once every seven days.
- A username change also changes the TikTok profile link and is currently limited to once every 30 days, so verify availability and spelling before saving.
- For bio, caption and comment text, use the current editor as the final compatibility check instead of relying on older third-party character-limit lists.
Using styled text on TikTok
TikTok's own Help pages make the most important distinction explicit: the @username is the profile-link identifier, while the nickname is the separate visible account name shown across the app. The username has a restricted character set; the nickname currently allows up to 30 characters.
Because those fields have different change windows — 30 days for the username and seven days for the nickname — choose the plain handle first, then experiment with decorative styling only in the nickname or other text fields that actually accept it.
