About the Old English style
A copy-paste blackletter style commonly searched as Old English font text. On this site it uses the regular Unicode Fraktur mapping; it does not translate modern English into the historical Old English language.
Best use: Old English-style blackletter names, headings and short phrases. This style belongs to the gothic and blackletter family.
Transformation type: Unicode alphabet. This style substitutes supported Latin letters, and digits when the set includes them, with assigned Unicode mathematical or letterlike characters. Unsupported characters stay unchanged. It is a character substitution, not CSS formatting or an installed font.
Conversion happens in your browser. Stylish Font Generator does not need the text you type in order to generate the result.

Old English, blackletter and Fraktur: what this generator means
Old English is the common search label used here for a blackletter-looking copy-paste style. This tool does not translate modern English into the historical Old English language, and it does not download or install a medieval font file.
The actual characters are Unicode Mathematical Fraktur. Regular uppercase starts at U+1D504 and lowercase at U+1D51E. Five capitals reuse older Letterlike Symbols instead of duplicate Fraktur code points: ℭ (C), ℌ (H), ℑ (I), ℜ (R) and ℨ (Z).
Digits, punctuation and accented Latin letters do not have matching characters in this mapping, so they remain as typed. That is why a mixed result can contain blackletter letters beside ordinary numbers or punctuation.

Copy-paste text vs a real Old English font file
This generator is useful when you need characters that survive copy and paste in a plain-text field. It is not a TTF/OTF font, a vector logo tool or a tattoo stencil generator.
For a tattoo, logo, print design or long-form historical typography, treat the Unicode result as a quick visual reference and choose a real blackletter typeface or custom lettering for final artwork. For bios, display names and short labels, copy-paste Unicode is the intended use.
Because these are mathematical/letterlike Unicode symbols rather than ordinary Latin letters, search engines, spell-checkers and screen readers can interpret them differently. Keep important wording available in plain text.
