Letter-specific note

Lowercase d often combines an a-like rounded body with a taller ascender. Capital D varies considerably between handwriting systems.

Readability: The tall ascender is the strongest cue that separates d from a in many cursive hands.

Joining: After the rounded body, the exit into the next letter should remain separate from the ascender so the d does not look like a crowded a or cl.

For the full digital mapping and copy controls, see D in cursive.
