Telegram Fonts
Telegram separates the public @username from visible profile and chat text. Current official Telegram client/API documentation says usernames use letters AโZ, digits and underscores and are 5โ32 characters; the other text fields below are left verify-in-app unless the current official material used here states a stable limit.
Choose the right Telegram field first
Start with the field, not the font preview. Username (@identifier) is restricted or not a styling surface in the current guide; decorative Unicode should be tested only in separate visible-text fields that allow it.
The full field table below covers the remaining Telegram surfaces. The same registry powers both sections so limits and restrictions stay consistent.
Unicode previews for eligible Telegram text fields
These previews are styling options, not proof that a restricted username, handle, account identifier or policy-controlled name accepts decorative Unicode. Use the field guidance above first, then test only the visible text surfaces that fit your task.

Current platform rules
Last checked September 22, 2026. Telegram's current official client/API documentation says public usernames use letters AโZ, numbers and underscores and are 5โ32 characters. Other visible profile/chat fields are left verify-in-app unless the current source set states a stable limit.

Stylish Font Generator is not affiliated with this platform. A field accepting Unicode text is not the same as the platform offering a custom-font feature. Recheck important fields in the current app before publishing because limits and validation rules can change.
Field-by-field compatibility on Telegram
| Field | Current limit / guidance | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Username (@identifier) | 5โ32 characters | Letters AโZ, numbers and underscores; searchable public identifier |
| First / last name | Verify in current profile editor | Visible profile text โ paste a short sample and verify the saved result |
| Bio | Verify in current profile editor | Profile text โ current sources checked here do not establish a stable public limit |
| Messages | Verify in current composer | Message text โ Telegram also has native formatting; Unicode styling is separate |
| Group / channel / bot display names | Verify in current editor / bot tools | Public display text โ keep searchable wording readable |
A platform accepting Unicode in a text field does not mean it officially supports custom fonts. Limits, validation and glyph rendering can change by app version, account type, language and device.
How to use stylish text on Telegram
Start with the exact name, title or line you want to use. Short tests make compatibility problems easier to spot.
Prefer a restrained Unicode alphabet or frame for identity/search fields. Decorative effects are better for optional accents.
Open Telegram, paste into the intended field, save it, then check the result on another screen or device before relying on it.
Telegram tips
- Build the public @username as plain compatible text first. Telegram's current official documentation accepts letters, numbers and underscores and uses a 5โ32 character range.
- Telegram usernames let people find/contact you without knowing your phone number, so typeability and exact search are more important there than decoration.
- For profile names, bios, group/channel names and bot display names, use decorative Unicode only as a short optional accent and verify the saved result in the current client or management interface.
- Telegram has native formatting in messages. Native bold/italic/code formatting and Unicode replacement alphabets are different, so prefer native formatting when the goal is ordinary message emphasis.
Using styled text on Telegram
Telegram's official username rule is concrete: 5โ32 characters using letters, numbers and underscores. Because the username is searchable and lets people contact you without knowing your phone number, exact typeability matters more than visual decoration.
For profile names, bios, messages, groups and channels, use the current Telegram app/client as the final field check when a numeric limit matters. Native Telegram formatting remains preferable for ordinary message emphasis.
